Walter Leon "Lou" Clarkston, Sr., age 64, a resident of Franklin, La., died 
Friday, April 12, 2013 at Iberia Medical Center at 9:34 AM.

Visitation will be Friday, April 19, 2013 at Triune Church of God In Christ 
from 11:00 AM until funeral service at 1:00 PM. 

Burial will be in the Franklin Cemetery.

Walter leaves to cherish his memories; his wife, Dorothy Marie Clarkston of 
Franklin, La; two daughters, Shantel Y. Clarkston and Tamika D. Clarkston both 
of Lafayette, La; two sons, Walter L. (Toni) Clarkston, Jr., of Atlanta, GA., 
and Jason G. Clarkston of Berwick, La; two grandchildren, A'Ishah T. Trahan of 
Lafayette, La., and A'Jasia Clarkston of Franklin, La; six brothers, Edward 
(Ethel) Clarkston, Jr., of Houston, TX., Joseph D. (Dorothy Mae) Clarkston of 
Garden City, La., Jonathan E. Clarkston, Sr., and Emmanuel J. Clarkston both of 
Pineville, La., Barry J. (Sandra) Clarkston of Franklin, LA., and James C. 
(Wendy) Clarkston of Mapleton, GA; five sisters, Carrie C. (Royal) Stewart, 
Edlena C. (Darryl) Brice and Mae B. Clarkston all of Franklin, La; Tracey C. 
(Autrey) Johnson of Stanley, KS., and Antonia D. (Alonzo) Petty of Huntsville, 
AL; two godchildren, LaShawn Jack-Connor and Joseph Clair, Jr., and a host of 
nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Walter was preceded in death by his parents, Edward Clarkston, Sr., and Carrie 
D. Clarkston, and one sister, Elizabeth Clarkston.
