ENCALADE, IRENE “MATHILDA” 

Irene “Mathilda” Encalade, a native of Davant and resident of Patterson, died 
April 18, 2013, at the age of 55.

Survivors include a son, Jaurell “JD” Encalade; her mother, Audrey Encalade; 
three sisters, Barbara Riley, Donna Davis and Rachel Encalade; and a brother, 
Charles Miller.

A Funeral Mass of Christian Burial is scheduled at St. Thomas Catholic Church, 
17605 Highway 15, Pointe A La Hache, at 10 a.m. Saturday with a visitation from 
8 a.m. until the time of the service. 

Interment will be in St. Thomas Catholic Church Cemetery in Pointe A La Hache. 

Arrangements are by D.W. Rhodes Funeral Home, 3933 Washington Ave., New 
Orleans.
