Ara B. Jones, age 92, a native of Patterson, La., and a resident of Morgan 
City, LA died Monday, April 15, 2013 at 8:25 PM at Teche Regional Medical 
Center.

Visitations will be Friday, April 19, 2013 at Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Morgan 
City, La., from 9:00 AM until funeral service at 10:00 AM. 

Burial will be in The Morgan City Mausoleum. 
Officiating, Rev. Larry Frank, Sr.

Ara leaves to cherish her memories; three sons, Herbert Micheal Jones, Anthony 
Jones and Conley Thomas Jones all of Morgan City, La; three daughters, Ara 
Marie Jones-Ramagos of Schriever, La., Norma Lee Jones-Skinner of Morgan City, 
La; and Almetra L. Jones-Franklin of Verdunville, La; one sister, Julia Gary of 
San Francisco, California; one sister-in-law, Dorothy Trimm of Morgan City, La; 
sixteen grandchildren, sixty great-grandchildren and a host of relatives and 
friends.

Ara was preceded in death by her parents; Tom P. Brown and Ara Bridget Brown; 
her husband, three sisters, Sarah Dyer, Maggie Howard and Doris Sanford, and a 
brother, Plato Brown.
