Orey A. Perez, 73, a resident of Patterson, passed away Sunday, April 28, 2013 
at Teche Regional Medical Center.

Orey was born on October 2, 1939 in Morgan City the son of Orey A. Perez, Sr. 
and Annie Giroir Perez.

Orey enjoyed spending time with his family and also his church family. He loved 
going to church and cooking for the members of the church. He enjoyed listening 
to Christian music, and you could always find him outside tending to his flower 
and vegetable gardens.

He will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his wife of twenty-one years 
Elizabeth Perez of Patterson; three children, Vickie Abushmais of Atlanta, 
Georgia, Gerald Perez and David Perez both of New Iberia; three step children, 
LeMoyne Jones of Morgan City, Charles Fryer, Jr. of Berwick, Brent Gotro of 
Frisco, Texas; six grandchildren; one great-grandchild; five step 
grandchildren; four step great-grandchildren; one brother, Jake Perez of 
Patterson.

Orey was preceded in death by his parents Orey A. Perez Sr. and Annie Giroir 
Perez; one son, John Perez; two sisters; two brothers.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, May 1, 2013 at Twin 
City Funeral Home. Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. on 
Tuesday, April 30, 2013 at Twin City Funeral Home. Visitation will resume from 
8:00 a.m. until the time of the service on Wednesday at the funeral home. 

Orey will be laid to rest in the Berwick Cemetery
