Please go to http://usgwarchives.net/la/stmary/obits/dateobits/2013/sm1304.htm and click on the name of interest. ========== Kathleen Jensen Sherman, 54, a lifelong resident of Morgan City, passed away Tuesday, April 23, 2013, in Lake Stevens, Wash. Kathy was born on Sept. 27, 1958. She was a stay at home mom to her two sons, Grant Sherman and Drew Sherman. She loved spending time with family and friends, cooking and traveling. It seemed one of her lifelong goals was to take care of others. She was blessed to have so many amazing friends. She truly loved life. She was a proud wife, daughter, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. Kathy is survived by her two sons, Grant Sherman and Drew Sherman; daughter-in- law, Ashley Sherman; granddaughter, Sophia Sherman; mother, Patricia Jensen; sisters, Linda Johnson and companion, George Schmidt, and Diane Bergeron and brother-in-law, Robbie Bergeron; her brothers, Robert Jensen and sister-in-law, Phyllis Jensen, Glenn Jensen, and Stephen Jensen and sister-in-law, Nit Jensen; mother-in-law, Lou Ella Pesson of Delcambre; also many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. Kathy was blessed with one grandchild, Sophia Sherman, who was her pride and joy. Kathy was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Sherman; her maternal grandparents, Edward and Margret O’Leary; and paternal grandparents, Oscar and Eula Mae Jensen. All of our family would like to give a special thanks to three wonderful women, Brenda Thibodaux of Patterson, Amanda Rudd of Marysville, Wash., and Kirsten Moen of Everett, Wash., for stepping in as caregivers in Kathy’s time of need. A memorial service will be held Saturday, May 11, 2013, at 11 a.m. at Holy Cross Church in Morgan City. A gathering will be held at the Central Catholic gym following the service. In lieu of flowers, all donations can be made to Central Catholic High School in her memory. ===================
