ARCHON, APRIL NICOLE 

A Home Going Celebration will be held for April Nicole B. Archon, the former 
April Nicole Burrell, 32, at 1 p.m. Wednesday, May 8, 2013 at Otis Mortuary in 
Franklin.

Interment will follow in the Franklin Cemetery.

A gathering of family and friends will begin at 7 a.m. Wednesday until 8 a.m. 
at Fletcher Funeral Home in New Iberia, and resume at 10 a.m., at Otis Mortuary 
in Franklin until time of funeral service.

A native of Franklin and a resident of New Iberia, she passed at 8:58 p.m. 
Monday (May 6, 2013?) at her residence in New Iberia, following a sudden 
illness.

She leaves to mourn her passing her husband, Kevin James Archon, of New Iberia; 
her parents, Dezzie Shavers and Judy Ann Burrell Shavers of New Iberia; one 
son, Tiras Jackson Jr. of New Iberia; two daughters, A’Garia Haynes and Ta’Jha 
S. Burrell of New Iberia; two brothers, Alonzo Damond Shavers of New Iberia and 
Sheldon Derrie Days of Queens, New York; four sisters, Channon Decuir, Sasha 
Shavers, Teniqueka Shavers and Shikira Gardner, all of New Iberia; paternal 
grandfather, Dezzie Shavers Jr. of Savannah, Georgia; maternal grandfather, 
Edgar Joe Burrell Jr. of Franklin; mother and father-in-law, Alfred Archon Jr. 
and Rose Archon of New Iberia; five godchildren, Dreshond McCurtis, Ma’Ronn 
Chainee Burrell, Taylor Gardner, Kobi Charles and A’Jariah Polidore, as well as 
a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her paternal grandmother Ruby Lockett Sweat and 
maternal grandmother Vivian Boatman Burrell.

Arrangements are under the direction of Fletcher Funeral Home, 609 West Admiral 
Doyle Drive in New Iberia, Louisiana
