Please go to http://usgwarchives.net/la/stmary/obits/dateobits/2013/sm1305.htm and click on the name of interest. ========== A Mass of Christian burial will be held Wednesday, May 15, 2013, at 2:00 PM at the Church of the Assumption for Glenn Joseph Boudreaux, 65, a native and lifelong resident of Franklin, who passed away Saturday, May 11, 2013, at 1:40 AM at the Franklin Health Care Center. Burial will follow in the Franklin Cemetery. Father Thomas Vu will officiate the services. Glenn was a loving son, husband, father, and grandfather, who never met a stranger. He loved the outdoors and fishing and was a great cook. In his earlier years, Glenn enjoyed camping with his family and was also a volunteer fireman with the Franklin Fire Dept. He worked for 40 years in produce in the grocery business, most recently for Cannata's Food World in Morgan City. Survivors include his wife of 33 years, Brenda Perrett Boudreaux of Franklin; one son, Kevin P. Boudreaux and his wife Maria of Tampa, FL; his mother, Myrtle Landry Boudreaux of Franklin; his sister, Gwen B. Louviere and her husband Charles of Centerville; his godmother and aunt, Doris Robicheaux; his uncle, Bobby Landry; his devoted godchild, Kendra Duckworth; six grandchildren, Patrick, Shayne, Chase, Royce, Kaylee, and Logan; several nieces and nephews; and his beloved dog Sammy. He was preceded in death by his father, Patrick J. Boudreaux; his grandparents; and his beloved dogs, Buckets, Finie, Jolie, and Cami Sue. A gathering of family and friends will be held Wednesday at the Church of the Assumption from 11:00 AM until time of Mass, with the rosary being prayed at 1:30 PM. Serving as pallbearers will be Kevin P. Boudreaux, Kade Duckworth, Steve Domangue, Charles Louviere, Manly Boudreaux, and Bobby Boudreaux. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions be made to Wheelin Sportsmen, 8738 Helen Dr., Youngsville, LA 70592, 337-254-8194, an organization which brings individuals confined to a wheelchair fishing and on outdoor excursions.
