Funeral services will be held Wednesday, May 22, 2013, at 2:00 PM at Ibert's 
Mortuary for Elizabeth "Liz" Bigler Carr, 94, a native and lifelong resident of 
Franklin, who passed away Saturday, May 18, 2013, at 2:20 AM at her home with 
her family at her side. 

Burial will follow in the Franklin Cemetery. 
Rev. Vernon Fairley will officiate the services.

Survivors include two children, Elizabeth "Betty" Saylor of Lafayette and Glenn 
K. Carr of Franklin and his companion Carolyn Cline; one brother, Gen. William 
Bigler of Franklin; one sister, Marguerite Bigler Primeaux of Lafayette; six 
grandchildren, Joe H. Oliver, Jr., Melanie Oliver, Jason Saylor, Dawn 
Gonsoulin, Rhonda Bourgeois, and Kristie Buford; nine great grandchildren; two 
great great grandchildren; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas C. Carr; one grandson, Thomas 
Carr Oliver; her parents, Henry Mayer Bigler and Alice Ellen Kappel Bigler; 
four brothers, Louis Bigler, H. M. "Tuffy" Bigler, Jr., Carl Bigler, and Clyde 
"Click" Bigler; and three sisters, Juanita "Red" Bigler, Rosemary B. Romero, 
and Marjorie "Maude" B. Shinn.

Serving as pallbearers will be Jason Saylor, Robyn Gonsoulin, Richard 
Bourgeois, Chad Buford, Leonard Guidry, and Terry Breaux. Honorary pallbearer 
will be Joe H. Oliver, Jr.

A gathering of family and friends will be held Wednesday at Ibert's Mortuary 
from 11:00 AM until time of service at 2:00 PM.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests that memorial contributions be made to 
the Louisiana Chapter of the Alzheimer's Association, 3900 N. Causeway Blvd, 
Suite 1200, Metairie, LA 70002, (504)-648-4084.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Ibert's Mortuary, Inc., 1007 Main Street, 
Franklin, LA
