All rights reserved. http://usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgenweb.org/volunteers/copyright.shtml ======================================================================= CHOATE, SHIRLEY SIEFERMAN January 8, 1927 - May 23, 2013 A Mass of Christian burial will be held Thursday, May 30, 2013, at 2:00 PM at the Church of the Assumption in Franklin for Mrs. Shirley Caro Boudreaux Breaux Sieferman Choate, 86, a native and resident Franklin who passed away peacefully at her daughter's home in Franklin. Burial will follow in the Franklin Cemetery. Father Lloyd Benoit will officiate the services. In her early years, Shirley worked as an assistant for Dr. Thomas Kramer, helping with various tasks around the office. She later worked for and retired from the St. Mary Parish Clerk of Court Office. Shirley wrote many articles in The Franklin Post and The St. Mary and Franklin Banner-Tribune featuring people around town. She also wrote for various publications sponsored by the City of Franklin, Church of the Assumption, Cabot Corp., and the St. Mary Parish Library. Survivors include her husband, Murphy Choate; her two daughters, Diana Boudreaux Fitzgerald and her husband Richard, and Penny Boudreaux Gianfala; two brothers, Louis Caro and his wife Ann, and Victor Caro; two sisters, Helen Caro Louviere and her husband Harold "Neg" and Belle Caro Brazil and her husband W.T.; four grandchildren, Dicky Fitzgerald and his wife Lisa, Robin Fitzgerald Borne and her husband Vincent, Raygan Gianfala Patin and her husband Mark, and Kady Gianfala; seven great grandchildren, Carley Fitzgerald, Noah Borne, Casey Fitzgerald, Nicholas Borne, Amelia Patin, Nathan Borne, and Hayden Patin; three sisters-in-law, Shirley Boudreaux Scelfo and her husband Anthony, Fay Boudreaux Louviere, and Toni Caro Hernandez and her husband George; one stepson, Terry Breaux and his wife Sharon; three step grandchildren, Melissa Bonaventure, and Curt and Chris Breaux; well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her 1st husband, Ray A. Boudreaux; her 2nd husband, Donald Breaux; her 3rd husband Richard Sieferman; her parents, Jerome Louis Caro and Alice Hebert Caro; two brothers, Emmanuel "Man" Caro and Theo Caro; one sister, Evelyn C. Ross; and one sister-in-law, Mary Jane May Caro. A gathering of family and friends will be held Thursday, May 30, at Ibert's Mortuary in Franklin from 10:00 until time of dismissal at 1:30 PM, with the rosary being prayed at 1:00 PM. Serving as pallbearers will be Dicky Fitzgerald, Vincent Borne, Mark Patin, Louis Caro, Jimmy Roy, and Noah Borne. The family would like to express their deepest gratitude to the staffs of Heart of Hospice, Dr. Roland Degeyter, Dr. C. T. Stirling, Franklin Home Care, and Linda Gant for the compassionate care given to Mrs. Shirley throughout her illness.
