Simon Contreras Jr., 45, of Krum, Texas, died Monday at Texas Health 
Presbyterian Hospital, Denton. He was born on May 31, 1967 in Lubbock.

He is survived by his wife, Pennie Webster Contreras; children, Paige Nicole 
Contreras, Cori Jean Contreras and Alex Joseph Contreras, all of Nederland, 
Texas, and Olivia Grace Contreras of Krum; mother, Lydia Contreras of Missouri; 
two grandchildren; brothers, Juan De la Rosa of Morgan City and Jose Moreno of 
Houma; and sisters, Ortencia Contreras of Fort Worth, Texas, Lydia Rivere of 
Houma, Maria Lynn of Waynesville, Mo., and Anna Goodwin of New Mexico.

He was preceded in death by his father and grandmother.

Visitation is scheduled from 6 to 9 p.m. today at Broussard’s, 505 North 12th 
St., Nederland, Texas. The service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Broussard’s, 

with interment to follow at Memory Gardens of Jefferson County, Nederland.
