Please go to http://usgwarchives.net/la/stmary/obits/dateobits/2013/sm1305.htm and click on the name of interest. ========== A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, May 21, 2013, at 2:00 PM at St. Joseph Catholic Church for Ross Anthony Grimball, 20, a native and lifelong resident of Patterson, who passed away at 6:00 AM on Pentecost Sunday, May 19, 2013, at his residence surrounded by his loving family. Burial will follow in the St. Joseph Cemetery. Father Angelo Cremaldi will officiate the services. Ross, a 2011 graduate of Patterson High School, loved spending time with his niece and godchild, Lainey Claire Taylor. He also loved to bowl and was a member of a weekly bowling league. Survivors include his parents, Michelle Kern Grimball and Keith A. Grimball of Patterson; a sister, Bridgette G. Taylor and her husband Gary of Patterson; a niece and godchild, Lainey Claire Taylor of Patterson; paternal grandparents, Luby Dauzat Grimball and Bobbie Grimball of Patterson; and his maternal grandmother, Jeanette Thibodeaux Kern of Baton Rouge. Ross is also survived by aunts and uncles, Tim and Kim Grimball of Milton, Kathy Primeaux and Woody Carlin of Bayou Vista, Connie and Billy Thomas of Berwick, Peggy Gaspard of Berwick, Kim and Gary Ford of Denham Springs, Mark and Jessie Kern of Thibodaux, and Leslie Kern and Tommy Deroche of Chackbay. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Jerome Kern, Sr.; an uncle and parrain, Randy Primeaux; an aunt, Bridgette Kern, and an uncle, Jerome Kern, Jr. A gathering of family and friends will be held Monday, May 20, at Ibert's Mortuary in Patterson from 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM, with the rosary being prayed at 7:00 PM. Visiting will continue Tuesday at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Patterson at 10:00 AM until Mass time at 2:00 PM. Serving as pallbearers will be Jeremy Hancox, Bill Thomas, Gary Taylor, Clint Cortez, Kolten Davis, Matt Kern, and Tyler Scully.
