Please go to http://usgwarchives.net/la/stmary/obits/dateobits/2013/sm1305.htm and click on the name of interest. ========== Charles Lawnicki, 68, a native of Chicago, Ill. and a resident of Patterson passed away May 13, 2013 in Lafayette surrounded by his loving family. Charles Lawnicki was a member of Word of Life Family Church. Charles served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He was a Chef for Survey Boats and Cypress Bayou Casino for many years. He also worked for Inter Parish Security at Patterson Truck Stop. Charles is survived by his wife Cecilia Arsena Lawnicki of Patterson, his children Paul Anthony Lawnicki of Pensacola, Fl. and Pamela Jane and her husband Rupert Green, of Alexandria, his brothers James Casimir Lawnicki and his wife Arlene of West Chicago, Ill., Louis Allen Lawnicki and his wife Lucy of Dallas, Tx., his sister Carol and her husband Charles Urgo of Algonquin, Ill. and Christine Lawnicki of Egg Harbor, Wis., his nephews Richard Urgo and Nicholas Lawnicki, niece Karen Dembereckyj, his grandchildren Savanna and her husband Cody South, Olivia, Nicholas, Thomas, and Mya Green, and one great grandson Kaiden South, his step children Janet Donnell, Kathy Slates, Leon Strand, Mark Strand , Jolene Frost, Richard Strand, and Harry Jr., Eric and Thad Boudreaux. Charles is also survived by several step-grandchildren and step-great grandchildren, Goddaughters Michelle Orgeron, and RosieWright. He is preceded in death by his parents Casimir Lawnicki and Catherine T. Kempczynski, his first wife Gloria Vickers, and his second wife Marilyn Bell. Visitation will be held Wednesday May 15, 2013 at Hargrave Funeral Home beginning at 10 am until 1 pm. Funeral services will begin at 1 pm at Hargrave Funeral Home. Graveside services will be held in the Morgan City Cemetery with the East St. Mary Veterans Funeral Squad will conduct full graveside military honors. A reception will follow at Hargrave Funeral Home. The family invites all in attendance to come and share memories and to celebrate the life of Charles. ===================
