Please go to http://usgwarchives.net/la/stmary/obits/dateobits/2013/sm1305.htm and click on the name of interest. ========== Dorothy Jean Mire, 75, a resident of Morgan City passed away Monday, May 14, 2013 at Morgan City Healthcare. Dorothy was born on April 15, 1938 in Clarendon, Arkansas the daughter of Henry Thomas Dillard and Minnie Arnette Dillard. Being deeply rooted in Arkansas Dorothy loved going back home and visiting her family. She was a great care giver to her grandchildren and to local working parents. She also loved to cook for her family. Dorothy enjoyed being in the outdoors tending to her vegetable and flower gardens, feeding the birds, and also fishing. She will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by three children, Sheri Reyes and husband Juan of Patterson, Terry Perry of Berwick, Brian Mire and wife Danielle of Morgan City; four grandchildren, Jennifer Edwards and husband James of Morgan City, Kim Graham of Alexandria, Ryan Taylor and wife Kelly of Morgan City, Mario Reyes and wife Cheryl of New Orleans. Dorothy is also survived by seven great-grandchildren, Austin McLaughlin, Brooklyn and Ava Taylor, Joshua Adams, Kayla Jones, Hayley and Ty Fontenot; two great-great-grandchildren; one sister, Marie Mondy of Baton Rouge. Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents Henry Thomas and Minnie Arnette Dillard; husband Harold C. Mire; one daughter, Sharon O'Quinn; brother, Lloyd Dillard; one sister, Christine Hebert. Graveside services will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Friday, May 17, 2013 in the Morgan City Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. until 11:45 a.m. on Friday, May 17, 2013 at Twin City Funeral Home. ===================
