A Mass of Christian burial will be held Thursday, May 23, 2013, at 11:00 AM at 
St. Joseph Catholic Church in Patterson for Mr. Levy "Buddy" Roy, 86, a native 
of Cottonport and a longtime resident of Patterson, who passed away Monday, May 
20, 2013, at 2:15 AM at Teche Regional Medical Center. 

Father Gerald Burns will be the Celebrant for the Mass, with Father Angelo 
Cremaldi as Con-Celebrant. 

Burial will follow in the St. Joseph Cemetery 
with Military Honors provided by the East St. Mary Veteran's Funeral Squad.

Mr. Buddy is survived by his wife of 43 years, Iris Brassett Roy of Patterson; 
three sons, Dieter Roy and his wife Stephanie of Baton Rouge, Carl Dugas and 
his wife Angel of Madisonville, and Travis Roy and his wife Tiffany of 
Madisonville; two daughters, Cindy Roy Cloutier and her husband Charles of 
Franklin and Cindy Dugas Bundy and her husband Billy of Houma; two sisters, 
Margie Roy St. Romain of Bayou Vista and Leona Roy Smith of Patterson; ten 
grandchildren, Detrice Smither, Dana, Logan, and Hunter Dugas, Austin, Alexis, 
and Aiden Roy, Ryan and Taylor Jennings, and Ashley Jennings Businelle; and 
seven great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Blume Roy and Thelma Jeansonne Roy 
Brassett.

A gathering of family and friends will be held Wednesday, May 22, at Ibert's 
Mortuary in Patterson from 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM, with the rosary being prayed 
at 8:00 PM. Visiting will continue Thursday at St. Joseph Catholic Church in 
Patterson from 9:00 AM until Mass time at 11:00 AM.

Serving as pallbearers will be Ryan Jennings, Taylor Jennings, Logan Dugas, 
Hunter Dugas, Austin Roy, Aiden Roy, and Paul Businelle.

In lieu of flowers the family requests the contributions be made in Mr. Buddy's 
name to the St. Joseph Catholic Church for their Life Teen program, PO Box 219, 
Patterson, LA 70392.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Ibert's Mortuary, Inc., 1111 Lia Street, 
Patterson, LA
