EJ Aucoin 73 a native of Belle River and longtime resident of Pierre Part and a 
resident of Patterson passed away June 3, 2013 in Lafayette surrounded by his 
loving family.

EJ worked for and retired from McDermott as a Crane operator. EJ was a member 
of the Pierre Part and Belle River Fire Department. EJ was a dedicated Fireman 
for many years. EJ enjoyed the outdoors he was a fisherman and a hunter. He 
liked his country music, enjoyed camping, and playing cards. EJ was a die-hard 
Saints and LSU fan win or lose he was a fan. 
EJ was a family man he loved his family and enjoyed spending time with them.

EJ is survived by his wife of 22 years Alberta Landry Aucoin of Patterson. His 
son Chad Aucoin and his wife Candance of Bayou Gauche and his daughter 
Chantelle Tilley and her husband Michael of Lulling. 
His step son Danny Chassion and his wife Kim of Auburn, Ga. His step daughter 
Judy Lanoux and her husband Curtis of Baton Rouge. 
EJ is also survived by his grandchildren Brad, Kaitlyn, Hailey, Makayla, Mindi, 
Sydney, Andy, Drue, and Matthew. His great grandchildren Bear, Stella, 
Machelle, and Hayley. His sister Lenia Mayon, and his brother Clayton Aucoin. 
His step mother Shirley Aucoin.

EJ was preceded in death by his father and mother Edward and Nolia Aucoin his 
step father John Richard, his grandson Joey Paul Hebert , nephew Rickey Mayon 
and brother-in-law Sterling Mayon.

Visitation will be held Thursday at Hargrave Funeral Home from 6 pm until 9 pm. 
Continuing Friday at Hargrave Funeral Home from 8 am until 11 am. Funeral 
Services will begin at 11 am in the Hargrave Funeral Home. 

EJ will be laid to rest in the Morgan City Cemetery.
