BUTLER, EVELYN W. 
(June 9, 1939 - June 4, 2013)

Evelyn Butler, 73, a resident of Patterson and a native of Morgan City, died 
Tuesday, June 4, 2013 at 1:16 p.m., at Teche Regional Medical Center.

Visitation will be Saturday, June 15, at Good Hope Baptist Church in Patterson 
from 1 p.m. until funeral service at 2 p.m. 

Burial will be in the Shield Cemetery.

Evelyn leaves to cherish her memories her husband, Erwin Butler Sr., of 
Patterson; three daughters, Mrs. Melvin (Claudia) Schexnayder of Niceville, 
Florida, Evelyn Cross and Yolanda Butler, both of Patterson; five sons, Kenneth 
Evans, Anthony Evans, Samuel Cross III, Mark Cross and Murphy Butler, all of 
Patterson; two stepchildren, Erwin Butler Jr., of Morgan City and Betty Jo 
Butler of Patterson; two sisters, Claudell Watson and Lillie Mae Charles, both 
of Morgan City; and a host of relatives and friends.

Evelyn was preceded in death by her parents, maternal and paternal grandparents, 
a daughter and a stepdaughter.
