Clausen, 69, a native of Verdunville and a resident of Franklin for the past 46 years, who passed away peacefully at his home on Monday morning, June 24, 2013. Burial with Military Honors will follow in the Perpetual Park Cemetery. Father Lloyd Benoit will officiate the services. Survivors include his wife of 46 years, Bonnie Broussard Clausen; one son, Donovan Clausen and his wife Sue; three brothers, E. J. Clausen and his wife Camille, Wilrod Clausen and his wife Charlene, and Calvin Clausen and his wife Raye; one sister, Josephine C. Wiese and her husband Roger; two sisters-in-law, Evelyn S. Clausen and Betty Tracy and her husband Harry; mother-in-law, Amy S. Broussard; and two grandchildren, Mabel and Marjie Clausen. He was preceded in death by his parents, John B. Clausen and Ida Drago Clausen; two brothers, Louis B. Clausen and his wife Betty B. Clausen and Harold G. Clausen; and father-in-law, Ulysses Broussard. A gathering of family and friends will be held Wednesday at the Church of the Assumption from 10:00 AM until time of Mass at 2:00 PM, with the rosary being prayed at 1:00 PM. Serving as pallbearers will be his son, Donovan Clausen, his brothers, Calvin Clausen, Wilrod Clausen, and E.J. Clausen, his brother-in-law, Roger Wiese, and a nephew, Reid Clausen.
