Burial will follow in the Franklin Cemetery. Helen was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother who lived life to the fullest. She had a smile that could brighten the darkest day and a laugh that would fill the room. Dancing was one of her favorite pastimes. You could bet that if there was a gathering or special occasion she was the center of the attention. She was also a woman of faith, attending Mass regularly and praying the rosary often. When her health declined and she was unable to attend Mass, she would watch the Mass on TV. Following a lengthy illness, Helen finally succumbed, receiving her wish (and blessing), and passed away peacefully at her home on Sunday, June 23, 2013, at 6:27 AM, with her family by her side. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Survivors include her wonderful and loving husband of 60 years, Harold A. "Neg" Louviere of Franklin; six children, Shane G. Louviere and his wife Linda of Abbeville, Tana L. St. Germain and her husband David "Easy" of Franklin, Jamie L. Chauvin and her husband Jimmy of Franklin, Race G. Louviere of Houston, TX, Heidi L. Arboneaux and her husband David of Franklin, and Dirk G. Louviere and Becket of Franklin; three siblings, Belle C. Brazil and her husband W.T. of Corpus Christi, TX, Louis Caro and his wife Ann of Franklin, and Victor Caro of Franklin; one brother-in-law, Elton J. Louviere and his wife Patsy of Moss Bluff; former daughter-in-law, Jennifer C. Louviere of Franklin; 11 grandchildren, Jerrod Louviere, Brooke Smith, Ben Louviere, April Clements, Ryan Louviere, Nicole Benedietto, Eric Louviere, Chase Arboneaux, Summer Mestayer, Amy Weatherford, and Malachi Louviere; two step grandchildren, James "Jamie" Chauvin and Kelly Luke; 18 great grandchildren; and five step great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Jerome Louis Caro and Alice Hebert Caro; four siblings, Theo Caro, Emmanuel Caro, Evelyn C. Ross, and Shirley C. Choate; and her parents-in-law, George and Aline Louviere. A gathering of family and friends will be held Tuesday, June 25, at Ibert's Mortuary from 10:00 AM until time of dismissal at 1:30 PM, with the rosary being prayed at 1:00 PM followed by the eulogy.
