She passed away peacefully in Pensacola at 4 a.m. Thursday, May 30, 2013, after a lengthy illness. Virgie was a woman of character, integrity, virtue and morals; and was a direct descendant of the Acadians. During a near lifetime of years in Morgan City, Virgie was of the Catholic faith and attended Mass at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. She was a member of the St. Mary AARP, Chapter 4435. Her last home in Morgan City was at 1813 Victor II Blvd. Virgie loved her country and its proud history. She loved the culture, traditions and family history of her Acadian ancestors. She was family oriented, loved music and dancing, to shop, cook, taking care of her flower garden, and traveling to other states as well as Canada, Nova Scotia and New Brunswick. Virgie is survived by her husband, Willie Zemry “Dub” Noble Sr. Their journey as man and wife lasted 66 years. Their love and devotion to each other was one that most people only dream of. She is also survived by her daughter, Sandra Ann “Sandy” Noble Curry; her son, Willie Zemry “Will” Noble Jr.; her sister, Yvonne Margaret Thibodeaux Bailey; her brother, Max J. Thibodeaux Jr.; her grandchildren, Dusty Curry, Jessica Noble and Michael Noble; and her great- grandchildren, Elizabeth Marie Cruz, Robert Michael Cruz and Star Curry. She loved her dog, Lovee. She loved, cherished and valued the many friendships that were made during her journey in life. Virgie was preceded in death by her parents, Max J. and Girdy Simoneaux Thibodeaux; her brother-in-law, Nolton Anthony “P.T.” Bailey Sr.; her nephew, Nolton Anthony “Butch” Bailey Jr.; and her faithful, loving German shepherd, Keeta. “The very one who rocked you in the beginning needed you most in the end. “You were there with your tender heart and your steadfast loyalty, doing the right thing exactly the way she would have hoped, exactly the way she taught you to do.” Wherever a beautiful soul has been, there is a trail of beautiful memories. With time, sorrow may fade, but memories will live on. God has Virgie in his keeping. We have Virgie in our hearts. She will be missed dearly. Hargrave Funeral Home in Morgan City has been entrusted with the funeral arrangements, which are now currently pending. ===================
