Claire was born August 9, 1940 in Berwick, to Donald and Mildred Green. She graduated from Morgan City High School in 1958 and received a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Southwestern Louisiana. She married her best friend, Larry Anthony Sampey, Sr. on August 31, 1963 at St. Stephen Catholic Church and to this union were born Anne Mary Sampey, Larry Anthony Sampey Jr. and David Sampey. She was a committed wife and mother to her children. Her passion for music will live on through the hundreds of students she taught during her 55 plus year career as a piano teacher. She is survived by her husband, Larry; daughter Anne Mary Doss and her husband David and granddaughters Julie and Jennifer of Madisonville, La.; her son, Tony and his wife Lauren and grandchildren Channing, Cailin, Cade and Caroline of Ponchatoula, La.; her son, David and his wife Brandie and granddaughters Lilly, Ava and Charlotte of Mandeville, La; and her sister Donna Cloyd of Denham Springs, La. She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister Carol Jean Thibodeaux. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, June 10, 2013 at St. Stephen Catholic Church. Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. on Sunday, June 9, 2013 at Twin City Funeral Home. Visitation will resume from 9:00 a.m. until mass time on Monday at St. Stephen. Claire will be entombed in the Berwick Cemetery Mausoleum following mass. ===================
