Please go to http://usgwarchives.net/la/stmary/obits/dateobits/2013/sm1306.htm and click on the name of interest. ========== A Mass of Christian burial will be held Tuesday, June 18, 2013, at 9:30 AM at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Centerville for Melvin Eugene Simoneaux, III, 32, a native of Franklin and a resident of Centerville for the past 17 years, who passed away at his home on Thursday, June 13, 2013. Father Charles Langlois will be the Celebrant of the Mass, with Father Ruben Primor as Con-Celebrant. Burial will follow in the St. Joseph Cemetery in Centerville. Melvin was a devoted husband and father and was an avid outdoorsman. He was an aviation mechanic for the past 12 years, working with various companies including Atlantic Southeast Airlines, Dallas Air Motive, Roto Craft Leasing, and currently for PHI in Houma. Survivors include his wife of three years, Jennie Comeaux Simoneaux; their six month old son, Luke Eugene Simoneaux; his parents, Melvin Eugene Simoneaux, Jr. and Jeannine Bernauer Simoneaux; one brother, Joey Simoneaux and his wife Ashley and their children Emory and Oliver Simoneaux; his father and mother-in- law, Tommy and Janell Fournier Comeaux; one brother-in-law, Sean Comeaux and his wife Megan and their daughter Alison Guidroz; maternal grandmother, Marlene Dupuis Burns; paternal grandparents, Melvin Simoneaux Sr. and Theresa Bourliea Simoneaux; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Oliver Joseph Bernauer, Jr.; and his maternal step-grandfather, Ernest Burns. A gathering of family and friends will be held Monday, June 17, at Ibert's Mortuary in Franklin from 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM, with the rosary being prayed at 7:00 PM. Visiting will resume Tuesday morning at St. Joseph Catholic Church at 8:00 AM and continue until Mass time at 9:30 AM.
