A Memorial Mass to celebrate the life of Mrs. Celeste L. Bertrand will be held 
Saturday July 13, 2013, at 12:00 PM at Church of the Assumption. Celeste was a 
native and lifelong resident of Franklin, who passed away Tuesday, July 2, 
2013, in the Baton Rouge Hospice Butterfly unit, after a lengthy illness at the 
age of 76. Father Lloyd Benoit will officiate the Mass, 

with inurnment to follow at the Franklin Mausoleum.

She was a graduate of St. John Academy and SLI (ULL). She spent her life as a 
housewife and mother, which included twenty-one years caring for a special 
needs child.

Survivors include her husband, Patrick Bertrand; four sons, Bob and his wife 
Pam of Baton Rouge, Bill of Franklin, Tom and his wife Lisa of Franklin, 
Phillip of Metairie; one daughter, Beth of Hollywood, Florida and three 
grandchildren, Rebecca, Christina and Samantha of Franklin.

She was preceded in death by her son, Mike, her parents, Randolph and Corinne 
Gouaux Leblanc, and two brothers, Randy and Charles.

A gathering of family and friends will be held Saturday, July 13, 2013 from 
10:00 AM until time of Mass at 12:00 PM. A rosary will be prayed at 11:30 AM.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the Center of Hope in Centerville, 
LA.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Ibert's Mortuary, Inc., 1007 Main Street, 
Franklin, LA
