Please go to http://usgwarchives.net/la/stmary/obits/dateobits/2013/sm1307.htm and click on the name of interest. ========== Barbara Ann Dupre Comeaux, 69, a resident of Amelia passed away Tuesday, July 2, 2013 at Terrebonne General Medical Center. Barbara was born on January 19, 1944 in Simmons Pass, La. the daughter of Sterling and Aelena Paray Dupre. Barbara loved spending time with her family, but especially her grandchildren. She loved to cook for her family when everyone would get together. She loved being in the outdoors tending to her plants or going fishing at the camp. She was the owner and operator of Comeaux's Restaurant in Amelia for many years where she enjoyed taking care of her customers. In her recent years she loved her Friday outings when she would go get her hair fixed and stop and eat at the Waffle House before going back home. She will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her husband Huey J. Comeaux, Sr. of Amelia; three daughters, Penny Burney and husband Stanley of Amelia, Angela Legendre and husband Craig of Schriever, Darlene Ohmer and husband Huey of Amelia; one daughter-in-law, Donna Comeaux and fiancé Chris Stansbury of Amelia; eight grandchildren, Stanley Burney, Jr., Michelle Burney, Hope West, Meagan Legendre, Craig V. Legendre, Heath Ohmer, Heidi Ohmer, Huey Comeaux III. Barbara is also survived by five great grandchildren; two sisters, Catherine Colee and husband Edward, and Mary Palmature; numerous nieces and nephews. Barbara was preceded in death by her parents Sterling Dupre and Aelena Paray Dupre; one son, Huey J. Comeaux, Jr.; one granddaughter, Heather Lynn Ohmer; five sisters, Thelma Kennerson, Martha Bowen, Eve Kidd, Lydia Dupre, Velma Scully. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 6, 2013 at St. Andrew Catholic Church in Amelia with Father Joe Chacko officiating. Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. on Friday, July 5, 2013 at Twin City Funeral Home with a rosary being prayed at 7:00 p.m. Visitation will resume from 9:00 a.m. until Mass time on Saturday at St. Andrew Church. Entombment will follow the Mass in St. Andrew Catholic Cemetery in Amelia. ===================
