Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, July 19, 2013, at Syrie 
Funeral Home for Mary Ellen Cooper, 68, who died July 11, 2013, at Magnolia 
Estates Nursing Home. Services will be conducted by the Rev. Patricia Pete. 

Interment will be in the Morgan City Cemetery.

She is survived by her daughter, Doris Cooper; three granddaughters, Angel 
(Corey) Iglus, April Edwards and Amy (Ventrial) Baker; 12 great-grandchildren; 
one brother, Donald Ray (Liz) Cooper of Las Vegas; seven nieces and nephews; 
and a host of great-nieces and great-nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her father, Joseph Cooper Sr.; her mother, Rose 
Cooper; five brothers, Michael, Wilbert, Edward, Joseph Jr. and Nathaniel 
Cooper; and three sisters, Helen Stewart, Susan Cooper and Mildred Cooper.

Visitation will be held Friday, July 19, 2013, at Syrie Funeral Home from 7 
a.m. until time of service.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Syrie Funeral Home Inc. of Lafayette.
