Please go to http://usgwarchives.net/la/stmary/obits/dateobits/2013/sm1307.htm and click on the name of interest. ========== A Mass of Christian burial will be held Wednesday, July 24, 2013, at 1:00 PM at the Church of the Assumption for Mrs. Marjorie "Margie" Boudreaux Dupre, 80, a native of Weeks Island and a longtime resident of Franklin, who passed away Sunday, July 21, 2013, at 7:00 AM at her home with her family at her side. Burial will follow in the Franklin Cemetery. Father Lloyd Benoit will officiate the services. Mrs. Margie was a loving, prayerful, and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, and was the cornerstone of her family. She, along with her husband, raised three children, two of which were special-needs children. She was a longtime parishioner of the Church of the Assumption who had a very close and personal relationship with our Savior Jesus Christ and a strong devotion to our heavenly mother Mary through praying the rosary often. She was also a member of the Catholic Daughters, Court Assumption. Many will remember Mrs. Margie from her long career in the grocery business, having worked for 15 years for National Supermarket and then another 20 years for Franklin Supermarket, where she was employed as office manager. She was loved by all who knew her and loved everyone she met. Survivors include her husband of 63 years, Dudley Dupre; one son, Artie Joseph Dupre of Franklin; one daughter, Debbie Jeffreys and her husband William of Lafayette; one brother, Darrel Boudreaux and his wife Wanda of Denver, CO; one sister, Sadie B. LaCombe of Lafayette; three grandchildren, Michelle Domingue of Winnie, TX, Shane Curry and his wife Jamie of Lafayette, and Lori Goodrich and her husband Kevin of Virginia Beach, VA; seven great grandchildren, Logan Domingue, Katelyn Domingue, Hannah Domingue, Jack Domingue, Liam Curry, Luke Curry, and Olivia Goodrich; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by one son, Dwayne Anthony Dupre; her parents, Charles Joseph Boudreaux and Neomie Marie Louviere Boudreaux; one brother, Harold Joseph Boudreaux; one sister, Nora Boudreaux Dehart; one brother-in-law, Desiré Dehart; and one niece, Bertha Dehart. A gathering of family and friends will be held at Ibert's Mortuary on Tuesday from 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM, with the rosary being prayed at 7:00 PM, and on Wednesday from 9:00 AM until time of dismissal at 12:30 PM. Serving as pallbearers will be William Jeffreys, Shane Curry, Troy Dupuis, Kim Dupuis, Ray Broussard, Logan Domingue, and Kenneth Dehart. The family would like to express their sincerest gratitude to all those who have helped to care for Mrs. Margie, as well as Artie, and especially to Amedisys Hospice Care of Lafayette for the compassionate care and support given.
