Samuel James, 81, a native and resident of Terrebonne Parish, died, July 30, 
2013 at 12:55 p.m.

Visitation will be at New Rising Sun Baptist Church on Monday, August 5, 2013 
from 9:00 a.m. until funeral time at 11:00 a.m. 

Burial will follow in Southdown Cemetery.

He leaves to cherish his memories: seven sons, Willie, Jessie, Frank, Samuel, 
Floyd, Danny and Kerry Sims; three daughters, Lois and Rita A. Sims, and Ruby 
James; one sister, Geraldine Williams; twenty-two grandchildren and twenty-two 
great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by: his parents: Ozeline and Hattie Turner-James; 
wife, Rosie Galmore; former wife, Lillie James; one son, Eric Sims; one 
stepson, Gaylord Galmore; one brother, Johnny James; one sister, Rosa Mary 
James: one grandson, De'Anslen Sims; and one great-grandson, Randell J. 
Robertson, Jr.
