George Jones, Sr., 58, a native of Thibodaux and resident of Gray, LA, died 
Sunday, July 21, 2013 at 11:40 a.m.

Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. until funeral time at Eagle Wright Baptist 
Church. The funeral will be at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 27, 2013. 

Burial will follow in Halfway Cemetery.

He is survived by his wife, Deatron Barrow-Jones; son, George Jones, Jr.; five 
daughters, Georgie and Nadra Jones, Nariesha and Raven Short, and Brandi 
Hawkins; one sister, Audrey T. Turner; and a host of nieces, nephews, other 
relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by; one son, Quinton Jones; his parents, Theresa J. 
Sanders and George Washington; stepfather, Walter Jones, Sr.; grandparents, 
James and Leona Carcisee; three brothers, Lloyd, Sr. and Walter Jones, Jr. and 
Ralph Washington; five uncles, Loris, Hebert, Samuel, Louis and James Carcisse; 
two aunts, Dora C. and Mandy C. Smith; and grandchild, Le'anh Hawkins.
