Calvert was born on July 9, 1927 in St. Bernard Parish, Louisiana the son of Oscar LaHoste and Eunice Billiot. One of Calvert's greatest loves was spending time with his family especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was an active member of Cornerstone Ministries. He was an avid outdoorsman in his younger years and loved to go fishing, trapping, and hunting. He also enjoyed doing body work on vehicles he restored and loved watching television. He will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his wife, Elodie Verret LaHoste of Morgan City; five children, Judy L. Taylor and husband Dennis of Patterson, Brenda L. Hebert and husband Dana of Morgan City, Stephanie L. Gagneaux and husband Bruce of Berwick, Donald A. LaHoste of Morgan City, Calvert J. LaHoste, Jr. and wife Geniese of Morgan City; nine grandchildren, Kristen H. Jett, Joshua M. Taylor, Brandon J. LaHoste, Matthew J. Hebert, David M. Taylor, Bruce Gagneaux, Jr., Andrew S. Hebert, Cherish M. Gagneaux, Nicholas J. LaHoste. Calvert is also survived by five great-grandchildren, Maelynn Taylor, Ayden Farias, Macaylah Hebert, Jaiden Hebert, Jacie Hebert; one sister, Delores Boudreaux; two brothers, Raymond LaHoste, Sr. and Joseph LaHoste. Calvert was preceded in death by his parents Oscar LaHoste and Eunice Jackson Billiot; one sister, Elaine Lodrigue; one brother, Oscar LaHoste, Jr. Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, July 29, 2013 at Cornerstone Ministries with Rev. Tommy Fromenthal officiating. Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service on Monday at the church. Calvert will be laid to rest in the Morgan City Cemetery. ===================
