Please go to http://usgwarchives.net/la/stmary/obits/dateobits/2013/sm1307.htm and click on the name of interest. ========== Oscar Leo Salinas, a native of San Benito, Texas, and a resident of Morgan City for the past 12 years, passed away July 19, 2013, at the age of 32. Leo was employed at Conrad Industries. He enjoyed his work, never was late and always showed up early and stayed late. He became an asset there because he was bilingual. Leo was a faithful member of Higher Ground Family Church. He loved the Lord with all his heart and was a vital part of the church. He worked with the children and youth for many years. Leo was a huge fan of Star Wars, attending several Comi-con conventions. Leo was a Black Belt 1st Dan in the Silver Dragon Academy of Tae Kwon Do and he competed and judged competitions. Leo enjoyed cooking and was quite good at it. Leo is survived by his father, Oscar Salinas of McAllen, Texas; his brother, Ricardo A. Salinas of Monterrey, Mexico; his aunt and uncle, Estela and Arturo Salinas of Bayou Vista; and his niece and nephew, Arly and Arturo Jr. Leo is also survived by countless relatives and friends. Leo was preceded in death by his mother, Edith G. Moya; and his brother, Eric A. Salinas. A time of remembrance and reflection will be held from 3 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, July 24, 2013, at Hargrave Funeral Home. Services will be held at 4 p.m. and 5 p.m. LeoÕs wishes were to be cremated and his ashes laid to rest in the family tomb next to his mother and brother in Monterrey, Mexico. ===================
