All rights reserved. http://usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgenweb.org/volunteers/copyright.shtml ======================================================================= SIMONEAUX, THERESA BOURLIEA January 21, 1934 - July 22, 2013 A Mass of Christian burial will be held Friday, July 26, 2013, at 11:00 AM at the Church of the Assumption in Franklin for Mrs. Theresa Bourliea Simoneaux, 79, a native of Oaklawn and a longtime resident of Charenton, who passed away Monday, July 22, 2013, at her home with her family at her side. Burial will follow in the Immaculate Conception Cemetery in Charenton. Father Lloyd Benoit will officiate the services. Theresa was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother whose passion in life was her family. Her grandchildren were her world. In her early years she traveled the world with her husband during his military career in the Air Force. She loved cooking for family and friends, having family get- togethers, and enjoyed tending to and being in her garden. She was a devout Catholic who also taught Catechism. Survivors include her husband of 60 years, Melvin Eugene Simoneaux Sr., four children, Debra Simoneaux Louviere and her husband Gary, Melvin Eugene Simoneaux Jr. and his wife Jeannine, Michael Joseph Simoneaux and his wife Donna, and Mark John Simoneaux Sr. and his wife Anna; two brothers, Fredrick Bourliea and Wilbert Bourliea; three sisters, Eunice Ronsonet, Rita Guillot, and Betty Broussard; five grandchildren, Renee Louviere, Sean Louviere, Joseph Simoneaux, Mark Simoneaux Jr., and Jacob Simoneaux; three step-grandchildren, Billy Galey, Aaron Galey, and Nicole Phillips; 12 great grandchildren; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Wallace Paul Bourliea and Emelie Desormeaux Bourliea; four brothers, Wallace Pierre Bourliea, Louis Bourliea, James Bourliea, and George Bourliea; one sister, Amy Boudreaux; and two grandsons, Gary Louviere Jr. and Melvin Eugene Simoneaux III. A gathering of family and friends will be held Thursday at Ibert's Mortuary in Franklin from 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM, with the rosary being prayed at 7:00 PM, and again Friday at the Church of the Assumption from 9:00 AM until time of Mass at 11:00 AM. Serving as pallbearers will be Mark John Simoneaux Jr., Joseph Simoneaux, Sean Louviere, Scott Broussard, Billy Galey, and Aaron Galey. Honorary pallbearers will be Fredrick Bourliea and Wilbert Bourliea.
