SLATON, GARY MARKEITH, SR.
(July 25, 1953 - July 16, 2013)

Gary Markeith Slaton Sr., 59, a native of Franklin and resident of Morgan City 
passed away on Tuesday, July 16, 2013 at his residence surrounded by his loving 
family.

Gary is survived by his wife, Deborah Slaton of Morgan City; two sons: Gary 
Slaton Jr. of Morgan City and Jai Ray Slaton and Dusty of Morgan City; one 
daughter, Michelle Slaton and fiancé', Perry Griffin Jr.; two grandchildren: Mi 
Cal and Megan Slaton; two brothers: Hershel Slaton Jr. and wife Joycelynn of 
Morgan City and Tracy Slaton and wife Sheila of Morgan City; three sisters: 
Donna Synder and husband Jack of Porterville, CA, Linda Davis and husband James 
of Bayou L'Ourse and Bonnie Duhon and husband Mark of Amelia along with a host 
of nieces and nephews.

Gary was preceded in death by his parents, Hershel and Shirley Slaton Sr.; one 
son, Marquis Slaton and his grandmother, Gertrude Ardeaux.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 18, 2013 at Twin City Funeral Home 
beginning at 6pm until 9pm with a service beginning at 7pm.
