Please go to http://usgwarchives.net/la/stmary/obits/dateobits/2013/sm1307.htm and click on the name of interest. ========== Funeral services will be held Wednesday, July 17, 2013, at 11:00 AM at First Baptist Church in Patterson for Laurie Anne Landry Thibeau, 51, a native of Franklin and lifelong resident of Centerville, who passed away Saturday afternoon, July 13, 2013, at her home with her family at her side. Burial will follow in Teche Gardens Cemetery in Centerville. Rev. Bert Langley will officiate the services, along with her uncle Rev. Lonnie Budd and her husband Rev. Joe Thibeau. Laurie was a loving wife, mother, sister, and daughter who was devoted to her entire family. She was a hands-on type of person who was very knowledgeable in numerous areas and was a bit of a perfectionist. Laurie was also a hard worker, starting and operating her own communications company, Riverside Construction, and was also instrumental in the construction of her own home. She was a dedicated employee of System Services Broadband of Lafayette. She was also an accomplished pianist having played at several area churches and was currently serving as church pianist at First Baptist Church in Patterson, where her husband serves as pastor. Survivors include her husband, Rev. Joe R. Thibeau; three children, Matthew, Joshua, and Annaliese Gassiott; two grandchildren, Zachary and Madigan; her parents, Harry J. Landry and Leila Faith Budd Landry; her brother, David J. Landry Sr. and his wife Lisa; three step-children, Sharon Bernard, Randy Thibeau, and Stephanie Haynes; one nephew, David J. Landry Jr.; five nieces, Tabitha Hopkins, Rebecca Cameron, Christy Landry, Patricia Landry, and Stephanie Landry; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Duval and Myrtle Bourgeois Landry; and by her maternal grandparents, Elvin "Peter" and Violet "Chick" Burns Budd. A gathering of family and friends will be held Tuesday at First Baptist Church in Patterson from 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM, and again Wednesday from 9:00 AM until time of service at 11:00 AM. Serving as pallbearers will be her father, Harry J. Landry, her brother, David J. Landry Sr., her nephew, David J. Landry Jr., her sons, Matthew and Joshua Gassiott, and her uncle, Lonnie Budd.
