A Mass of Christian burial will be held Saturday, July 6, 2013, at 11:00 AM at 
St. Joseph Catholic Church in Patterson for Mrs. Berdine Gobert Verdun, 86, a 
native and life-long resident of Patterson, who departed this life on Tuesday, 
July 2, 2013, at her home. 

Burial will follow in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery. 
Father will officiate the services.

Berdine Gobert Verdun was born January 18, 1927 to Joseph "Tellemac" and 
Zenobia Taylor Gobert as the fourth of seven children. She married Adam G. 
Verdun on July 7, 1946 and through this union raised three children: Elizabeth, 
Eric and Belinda.

She is survived by her two daughters: Elizabeth V. Prevot and Belinda Verdun; 
one son, Eric A Verdun and his wife Mary; four sisters: Mardell G. Burgess, 
Anna G. Vining, Geraldine G. Verdun and Enola G. Walker; three grandchildren: 
Errol D. Prevot and his wife Kioshin, Eric A. Verdun, II and Chelsea P. Taylor 
and her husband Timmy; one great grandson and three great granddaughters along 
with a host of extended family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Adam G. Verdun; parents, Joseph 
"Tellemac" and Zenobia Taylor Gobert ; son-in-law, Ludger Prevot ; sisters, 
Senora G. Lima and Gertrude G. Pellerin ; brothers, George Gobert and Nicholas 
Gobert; sister-in-laws, Rose Verdun and Odette V. Williams; nephew, Gordon 
Verdun and five brothers-in-law.

A gathering of family and friends will be held Saturday at St. Joseph Catholic 
Church from 9:00 AM until time of Mass at 11:00 AM, with the rosary being 
prayed at 10:30 AM.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Ibert's Mortuary, Inc., 1111 Lia Street, 
Patterson, LA
