Please go to http://usgwarchives.net/la/stmary/obits/dateobits/2013/sm1308.htm and click on the name of interest. ========== A Mass of Christian burial will be held Friday, August 9, 2013, at 11:00 AM at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Charenton for Mrs. Jeanne Soprano Aucoin, 71, a native and lifelong resident of Charenton, who passed away Monday, August 5, 2013, at her home. Burial will follow in the Immaculate Conception Cemetery Mausoleum. Fr. Jody Simoneaux will officiate the services with Fr. Gregory Cormier con- celebrating. Mrs. Jeanne was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She was a loving and caring person who would help anyone in need. Her passion in life was her family and friends, who she enjoyed cooking and baking for. She was also a dedicated and faithful member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Charenton and was a prayerful woman. Mrs. Jeanne was a longtime employee of the State of Louisiana, having worked for the State Police as well as the Office of Family Security. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. Survivors include her husband of 32 years, Curtis J. Aucoin; one daughter, Germaine Hanks Bourque and her husband Brent; two grandchildren, Apryl and Dylan Bourque; four step-daughters, Karen Scott and her husband Michael, Deborah Aucoin, Trisha Hartwell and her husband Michael, and Jennifer Darden and her husband Danny; two sisters, Judy Menard and her husband Carroll and Jackie Spear; 11 step-grandchildren; one niece, Jamie Baudoin and her husband Sammy and their two children; one nephew, Toby Menard and his wife Charlotte and their three children; as well as numerous step-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Peter Soprano Jr. and Anna Mae Simoneaux Soprano; her first husband, Ronald Hanks; one nephew, Troy Menard; one step-grandchild, Chansson Lancon; and one step-great grandchild, Lyla Picard. A gathering of family and friends will be held Thursday at Ibert's Mortuary in Franklin from 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM, with the rosary being prayed at 7:00 PM. Visiting will resume Friday at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church from 9:00 AM until time of Mass at 11:00 AM. Serving as pallbearers will be Brent Bourque, Toby Menard, Jessie Aucoin, Sammy Baudoin, David Lancon, and Rodney Guillotte, Jr. Honorary pallbearers will be Michael Scott and Martin Spear. The family would like to express their deepest gratitude to St. Joseph Hospice and Journey Hospice for the compassionate care given to Mrs. Jeanne over the past three and a half years, as well as to the numerous family members and friends who have shown their love and support in so many ways.
