Please go to http://usgwarchives.net/la/stmary/obits/dateobits/2013/sm1308.htm and click on the name of interest. ========== Wayne Anthony Bernard, 74, a native of Lockport, LA and a longtime resident of Morgan City, LA went home to be with his heavenly father in Corinth, Texas after a courageous battle with cancer. An extremely spiritual Christian, Wayne was also a talented artist who was well known for his "Hand Painted Hard Hats" and an accomplished musician and a champion bass fisherman. In his early years he spent many hours working with the Boy Scouts of America. His career in the oilfield industry over a span of 55 years included offshore work, sales and environmental and safety. At the time of his death he was the Environmental & Safety Manager for Crown Oilfield Services in Patterson, LA. He loved his family dearly and leaves behind a legacy of a life well lived. He will be sadly missed by his wife; Brenda Bernard; and his children, Sue Bernard of Savannah, Texas, Wayne Bernard II and his wife, Ami, of Altamonte, Florida, Rebecca Bernard of Lewisville, Texas, Chris Lemoine of Morgan City, Kathy Bernard of Lewisville, Texas, Stacey Williams and her husband, Seth, of Lafayette, Shelly Lewis and her husband, Randy, of New Iberia, and Ronda Chauvin and her husband, Marcus, of Morgan City. Wayne is also survived by ten grandchildren and five great grandchildren. Wayne is preceded in death by his parents, Weldon and Lorraine Bernard and an infant granddaughter, Megan Lewis. A time of remembrance and reflection will be held Friday August 30, 2013 at Hargrave Funeral Home from 5 pm until 9 pm with a celebration of Wayne's life beginning at 7pm. Private graveside services will be held by the family at a later date. ===================
