Irene Cheval Paul, age 101, a native of Patterson, La., and a resident of 
Jeanerette, LA passed away on Saturday, August 10, 2013 at 8:10 AM at her 
residence.

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated for Mrs. Irene Paul , 101 the 
former Irene Cheval at 11:00 AM Thursday, August 15, 2015 at Our Lady of the 
Rosary Cathoic Church in Jeanerette, La., from 8:00 AM until 10:30 AM Rosary 
will be recited with mass at 11:00 AM. 

Burial in Our Lady of the Rosary Cathoic Church cemetery in Jeanerette. 
Father Dismas Mauk will be the celebrant and conduct the mass.

Mrs. Irene was a devoted wife, mother, sister and grandmother. She was a loving 
and caring person who would help anyone in need.

Her passion in life was her family and friends, who she enjoyed spending time 
with. She was a very talkative person. She was also a dedicated and faithful 
member of Our Lady of the Rosary Catholic Church and was a prayerful woman.

Irene is survived by a son, Robert M. Paul of New Iberia, La., a 
daughter(caregiver), Rena P. Feist of Jeanerette, La., a sister, Josephine 
Cheval of Jeanerette, La., fourteen grandchildren, forty great grandchildren, 
twenty-four great great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives 
and friends.

Irene was preceded in death by her parents, Athenor and Antonia Cheval, her 
husband, Robert Paul, a daughter, Mary Ann P. Rochon, two grandsons, Randolph 
Holmes and Byron Lewis.

Pallbearers will be: Marcus Jacquet, Brandon Lewis, Michael Holmes, Jeremy 
Paul, O'Brien Rochon, Graylin Williams, Jr., and Travonn Johnson.

Honorary Pallbearers: Robert M. Paul, Sr., Ronald Paul, Lawrence Rochon, Jr., 
Robert Paul, Jr., Ray Michael Paul, Randy Paul and Tony Rochon.

Irene will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

We would like to extend a special and heartfelt Thank You to Dr. Stephen 
Boudreaux and his staff, and the staff at Professional Home Health for their 
care and compassion.
