Kermit Simmons, Jr., 77, a native and resident of Terrebonne Parish, died 
Friday, August 30, 2013 at 9:30 a.m.

Visitation will be from 10-2 p.m. on Friday at Jones Funeral Home, and from 
11:00 a.m. until funeral time at the church. The funeral will be at 2:00 p.m. 
on Saturday, September 7, 2013 at Morning Star Baptist Church-Mission Blvd. 

Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery.

He is survived by: his wife, Anna Belle Perkins-Simmons; three sons, Jeffrey 
Simmons, Christopher and Nicholas Montgomery; five daughters, Wendy Lee and 
husband Allen, Debra and Kermetta Simmons, Delores Adams, and Shawanna Charles; 
four brothers, William Simmons and wife Claudia, John Simmons and wife 
Geraldine, Alvin Simmons and wife Linda, Charles Simmons and wife Lois; three 
sisters, Aldine S. Navy, Irma S. Williams, and Barbara S. Lewis and husband 
Henry; thirteen grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by: his parents, Rev. Kermit Simmons, Sr. and wife 
Leola Goings-Simmons; and sister, Audrey S. Picou.

Jones Funeral Home of Houma in charge of arrangements.
