Lionel James "Ice Man" Simmons, 50, a native and resident of Terrebonne Parish, 
died Wednesday, August 7, 2013 at 5:54 a.m.

Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. at Jones Funeral Home Chapel on Friday, and 
from 9:00 a.m. until funeral time on Saturday. The funeral will be at 11:00 a.m. 

with burial in New Zion Baptist Church Cemetery.

He is survived by: seven sisters, Rose Mary (Charles, Sr.) Wilson, Stella (John) 
Hayes, Margaret (Wallace) Washington, Diane and Edna Simmons and Cheryl Short 
and Ruth Porche; five brothers, August, Jr., Charles (Althea), Paul (Rita), 
Bobby (Keena), and Randolph Simmons.

He was preceded in death by his parents: August, Sr. and Ruth Thibodaux-Simmons; 
sister Daisy McGuire; and grandparents, Margaet Williams and Charlie Thibodaux.

Jones Funeral Home of Houma in charge of arrangements.
