Funeral services will be held Friday, August 23, 2013, at 11:00 AM at Ibert's 
Mortuary in Patterson to celebrate the life of Mrs. Evelyn Poston Swords, 80, a 
native of Monroe and a resident of Patterson for the past 49 years, who passed 
away Monday, August 19, 2013, at 11:40 PM at the Patterson Health Care Center. 

Burial will follow in the Patterson Protestant Cemetery. 
Rev. Joe Thibeau will officiate the services.

Survivors include six children, Mike Swords, Theresa Swords Knott and her 
husband Alex, James Swords and his wife Sauda, Robert Swords, Patricia Swords 
Vosejpka, and Richard Swords; one brother, Edward Poston; five grandchildren, 
Angeline Brocato, Calyn Swords, Miranda Wienbach, Marneé Ledet, and Cody James 
Swords; and three great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Louis Swords, Jr.; a step-daughter, 
Margie Bell Swords; and her parents, Clarence Poston and Irma Willhight Poston.

A gathering of family and friends will be held at Ibert's Mortuary on Thursday 
from 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM, and again Friday from 9:00 AM until time of service 
at 11:00 AM.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Ibert's Mortuary, Inc., 1111 Lia Street, 
Patterson, LA
