Thibodaux, 99, a resident of Morgan City passed away Wednesday, August 7, 2013 at Teche Regional Medical Center. Whitney was born on January 10, 1914 in Amelia the son of Clay F. Thibodaux, Sr. and Emma Pennison Thibodaux. During his younger years Whitney would spend a lot of time volunteering at Hotel Dieu in New Orleans and was also a very large supporter of the St. Jude Children's Hospital. Later in life Whitney loved going to various restaurants in the Morgan City, Houma, and New Orleans areas sampling all the food they had to offer. He will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by five nieces, Helen T. Skolfield, Patricia T. Tatum, Betty R. Robinson, Judy T. Wiley and Ann Daigle; two nephews, Steve T. Thibodaux and Ford V. Thibodaux, Jr.. Whitney is also survived by numerous great nieces and nephews. Whitney was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Ruby B. Thibodaux; one sister, Wilna T. Landry; four brothers, Clay F. Thibodaux, Jr., E. Halley Thibodaux, Everett C. Thibodaux, Ford V. Thibodaux, Sr. The family would like to express their thanks and gratitude to the wonderful dedicated caregivers who took care of Whitney for the last few years. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 10, 2013 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Father Noas Kerketta officiating. Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. until the time of mass on Saturday at the church. Graveside services will be held after mass in the Morgan City Cemetery Mausoleum. ===================
