He was born in Bayou Black, Louisiana on December 27, 1911. He lived and worked in Mobile, Alabama for over 50 years. He graduated from LSU with a Chemical Engineering degree in 1934. He was a veteran of World War II, serving in Burma as an OSS officer. Mr. Trahan is survived by his daughter Pamela Trahan Mong, her husband Stanley Mong, two grandsons, Michael Mong and his wife Kristi, and Brandon Mong. Two great grandchildren, Lauren Mong and Andrew Mong. Also survived by sister in law, Mary Wilson, and nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his first wife Lynn McArthur Trahan, second wife Hazel Trahan, parents and siblings. He experienced 37,099 sunrises and sunsets and was 101 and eight months when he died. A private graveside service will be held in Morgan City, Louisiana. The family expresses gratitude to Our House For Respite and their caring staff, Dr. Louis Minsky, and Hospice of Baton Rouge.
