LaCoste, 92, a native of Bayou Chene and resident of Berwick, passed away on Thursday, Aug. 29, 2013, at Teche Regional Medical Center. Lizetta was very active in the Ladies’ Altar Society along with being a Eucharist minister at church and a very devoted Christian. She expressed her love very deeply for her family by being a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother to them all. Lizetta had such a sweet way about her that even her friends always felt like one of the family. She is and will always be sorely missed by all who knew her. Lizetta is survived by her daughter, Barbara Ratcliff and husband, Randy Jr., of Morgan City; one son, Ira LaCoste and wife, Tammy, of Bayou Vista; eight grandchildren, Brad Ratcliff Sr., Randyl Ratcliff, Kellie Ruiz, Wendy Deslotte, Troy LaCoste, Eric LaCoste, John Thomas and Shantel Williams; 16 great- grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and one sister, Vera Mae Dehart. She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Lydia Rink Sr.; her husband, Ira O. LaCoste; sister, Lela Lombas; two brothers, Eddie Rink and Frank Rink Jr.; and one great-grandson, Chase LaCoste. Visitation took place from 6 to 9 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 30, 2013, at Twin City Funeral Home and resumed at 1 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 1, 2013, at St. Stephen Catholic Church in Berwick until the service at 2 p.m. She was laid to rest in the Berwick Mausoleum with her husband. ===================
