Please go to http://usgwarchives.net/la/stmary/obits/dateobits/2013/sm1309.htm and click on the name of interest. ========== Melinda Richard, 52, born in Morgan City, LA, and a resident of Belle River, LA left to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, September 11, 2013; surrounded by her loving family. Melinda leaves behind to cherish her memories her soul mate of 38 years, Kim "P-Lou" Richard of Belle River; one son Jacob Richard and his fiance' Joei Poulsen of Belle River, two daughters Kim R. Crappell and her husband Mark of Stephensville; and Kelly Richard of Belle River; her step-dad Thomas Giroir of Pierre Part; two sisters Charlene Blanchard (whom was also her best friend) and her husband Adam of Belle River, and Rhonda Landry and her husband Paul of Pierre Part; two brothers Joe Richard and his wife Debbie of Morgan City, and Troy Giroir and his wife Rachel of Bayou Vista; her step-brothers Tommy Giroir, and Ronnie Giroir and his wife Sherie, her step-sisters Debra Vidos and her husband Metz, and Tammy Aucoin and her husband James "P-noon" ; seven grandchildren Alyssa and Zachary Crappell, Gavin and Joeb Richard, Kade and Kaylan Richard, and Layla Gros; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Melinda is preceded in death by her parents Barbara Giroir and Gerald Richard; and her brother Curtis Richard. Melinda loved and lived for her family, and friends. She enjoyed going to church. As past time, she liked the simple things, like sitting on her porch, being outdoors. Her house was always open to anyone, and you can bet there was always food prepared. A time of remembrance and reflection will be observed Sunday, September 15, 2013 at Hargrave Funeral Home from 6:00 pm until 9:00 pm; and will continue Monday, September 16, 2013 at Hargrave Funeral Home from 8:00 am until services at 10:00 am in the Hargrave Funeral Home Chapel. Melinda will be laid to rest in The Morgan City Cemetery. ===================
