Please go to http://usgwarchives.net/la/stmary/obits/dateobits/2013/sm1309.htm and click on the name of interest. ========== A Mass of Christian burial will be held Monday, September 9, 2013, at 11:00 AM at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Patterson for Mrs. Debra Blanchard Savoie, 51, a native of Cottonport and a resident of Patterson, who passed away unexpectedly Friday morning at Teche Regional Medical Center. She will be laid to rest in the St. Joseph Cemetery in Patterson. Father Herb Bennerfield will officiate the services. Debra was a loving and dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, and friend. She enjoyed visiting with family and friends and was always considered the life of the party. She was also a caring and compassionate person, always putting the needs of others before her own. Debra's passion in life was her family, especially her grandchildren, who were her world. She will be deeply missed by all. Survivors include her husband of 35 years, Keith P. Savoie; one son, Keith Michael Savoie and his wife Rodessa; one daughter, Karyn Savoie Blakeman and her husband Joseph; four grandchildren, Thane Taylor, Tia Estay, Alli Jo Blakeman, and Bali Dru Blakeman; her parents, Ryan and Genevieve Armand Blanchard; four sisters, Liz Blanchard, Gloria Causey and her husband Jeff, Sharon Adams and her husband Terry, and Michelle Blanchard; two brothers, Larry Blanchard and Craig Blanchard and his wife Jessie; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a niece, Melissa Berger; as well as by her maternal and paternal grandparents. A gathering of family and friends will be held Sunday at Ibert's Mortuary in Patterson from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM, with the rosary being prayed at 6:30PM. Visiting will resume Monday at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Patterson at 9:00 AM until time of Mass at 11:00 AM. Serving as pallbearers will be Keith Michael Savoie, Joseph Blakeman, Thane Taylor, Kory Savoie, Brandon Berger, and Dustin Vaughn.
