Kay Suttoon, 79, born in Morgan City and a resident of Bayou Vista passed away 
Friday, September 6, 2013 at her home while surrounded by her family.

Kay was an amazing wife, mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, and great 
grandmother. She enjoyed her life and lived it to the absolute fullest. Kay 
kept her home both inside and out in immaculate condition. A fantastic 
gardener, her roses were a sight to behold. Kay was also gifted in making 
crafts of all kinds. Kay was a wonderful cook and was well known for her Okra 
Gumbo, Macaroni and Cheese, Eggplant rice dressing, and Bread Pudding. A 
talented seamstress, Kay made beautiful clothes for all her daughters without 
patterns, including Wedding Dresses.

Kay and her husband Aubrey owned and operated a shrimp boat named the "Eunia 
Kay" for 30 years. Kay enjoyed the outdoors, she was a shrimper, a hunter and a 
trapper as a matter of fact she could skin a Muskrat faster than you could 
blink your eye.. as well as work the back deck of a shrimp boat better than 
most.
Kay leaves behind to cherish her memory, her husband of 60 years, Aubrey Joseph 
Suttoon of Bayou Vista; one son, Wilbert "Poochie" Suttoon and his wife, 
Yvonne, of Morgan City; three daughters, Betty Robison and her husband, Stan, 
of Bayou Vista, Gettel Suttoon of Bayou Vista and Cammy Crochet and her 
husband, Ronald, of Pierre Part; one sister, Rena Deslatte of Morgan City. Kay 
is also survived by 12 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.

Kay was preceded in death by her parents, Clement and Matilda Fabre, five 
brothers, nine sisters and one grandson, Stan Robison.

Visitation will held Sunday, September 8, 2013 at St. Bernadette Church Hall 
from 5pm until 9pm with rosary services at 6 pm. Visitation will continue 
Monday, September 9, 2013 at St. Bernadette Church Hall from 8am until time of 
dismissal with a Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Bernadette 
Catholic Church beginning at 10am. 

Kay will be laid to rest in the Morgan City Cemetery.
