Patty was a loving wife, mother and grandmother, totally devoted to her family. In these last years she spent most of her time watching over them with love and encouragement. Together they spent many hours of fun fishing in the ponds near her home. She also enjoyed sports, and was a fan of several teams; but she especially loved following the sports activities of her grandchildren. She frequently called them after their sporting events, cheering them on and offering congratulations. Patty was truly loved, and her family and friends will miss her very much. Patty is survived by her husband, Larry Dickerson of McCall Creek, Miss.; her son, Charles Carey Barron Jr. and his wife, Elizabeth, of Berwick; her daughters, Patricia LeAnn Barron of Morgan City, and Kimberly Barron Bryant, and her husband, Carl, of Richland, Miss.; her sister, Peggy Ann Thomas of McCall Creek, Miss.; and her brother, Levon Halford of McComb, Miss. She is also survived by seven grandchildren, Barron Paul Courtney, Amanda Elizabeth Barron, Charles Carey Barron III, Patrick Louis Barron, William Lofton Bryant, Hayden Paul Barron and Drayton Paul Keller. Preceding her in death were her husband, Charles Carey Barron Sr.; her parents, Robert Lee Halford and Dolly Halford Allen; and her brothers, Jimmy, Marvin, Paul, Donald and Jerry Halford. Pallbearers will be her grandsons, Carl W. Bryant, and Robert Halford.
