Dorothy Smith Gordon passed away on Sunday, Oct. 20, 2013, at the age of 97. 

Beloved daughter of the late Christopher and Henrietta Barrilleaux Smith. 
Loving wife of the late Sammie Gordon. Sister of the late Ethel Smith Ibert, 
Myrtle Smith Boudreaux, Leslie Smith Serio, Anita Smith Grimm, Mary Smith 
Perce, and Catherine Smith Parra.
She is survived by her nieces, Paula LeBaron, Caryl Koberg, Ethel Mae Humphries 
and Denise P. Bostic; her nephews, Joseph Serio and Milton Parra; and numerous 
great-nieces and great-nephews.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the funeral Mass at 
Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd. in New Orleans, at 3 
p.m. Thursday, Oct. 24, 2013. 

Interment will follow in Lake Lawn Park. 

A visitation will be held at the funeral home beginning at 1 p.m. 

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Dominic’s Church in Lakeview, 
Holy Cross Church in Morgan City, or a charity of choice.
