JACKSON, PATRICIA "PAT" COLAR 
(Died October 5, 2013)

Patricia "Pat" Colar Jackson, age 50, a native of Jeanerette, La., and a 
resident of Franklin, La., died Saturday, October 5, 2013 at her residence at 
4:53 PM.

Visitation will be Friday, October 18, 2013 at Jones Funeral Home in Franklin, 
La., from 10:00 AM until funeral service at 1:00 PM.

Patricia leaves to cherish her memories; five sons, Dwayne Jackson (Opeal 
Dempsey) of Jeanerette, La., Darnell Colar, Terrell Jackson (Princess A'lura 
Wiggins)of Baton Rouge, La., Rufus (Sarah) Jackson, Sr., and Delana 
(Sueana)Jackson both of Sioux City, Iowa; four daughters, Letina (James 
Morris)Edwards, Angelia (Jacob) Picard, Sr., Lahouma Jackson and Barbarlyn 
Jackson all of Franklin, La; four brothers, Kenneth Colar, Sr., of Four 
Corners, La., Donnie Colar and Jessie Brown, Sr., both of Franklin, La., and 
James Colar of New Iberia, La; two sisters, Glenda Colar of Jeanerette, La., 
and Cheryl Robertson of Franklin, La; a devoted cousin, Brenda Martin of 
Jeanerette, La; companion, Anthony Rubbins of Jeanerette, La; two god children, 
Willie Corners of Houston, TX., and Katrina Brown of Lafayette, La; fifty-five 
grandchildren, fifty great grandchildren, two great nieces-in-laws, Vickie 
Pennington and Erika Barnes of Houston, TX; one great granddaughter, Christina 
Peters Robertson., and a host of relatives and friends who realize that earth 
has no sorrow that Heaven cannot heal.

Preceded in death by her parents, Mary and Alfred Colar, her husband, Rufus 
"Frogee" Jackson, Sr., two brothers, Alfred Colar, Jr., and Gregory Colar, 
three sisters, Linda Arceneaux, Margie Mae Colar and Clara Colar, her 
grandparents and one niece, Lynette Marie Corners.
