She is preceded in death by her parents, Alcide and Pauline Pecot. Adele is survived by her loving husband of 64 years, John Joseph Koster; sons, Stephen John Koster and wife, Velma, Keith Joseph Koster and wife, Rhonda; daughters, Marsha Anne Henry and husband, Terry, Elaine Marie Goodwin and husband, Terry; brother, Joseph Pecot; sister, Jeanne Spears; grandchildren, John, Christopher, Courtney, and Kristen Koster, Matthew Goodwin, Rebecca Koster, Kandace Goodwin, Angela Sandidge, Heather Culver, Sean Koster, Beau and Richard Norsworthy, Tisa Summer and Eric Forey; 15 great grandchildren; and a host of other family and friends. Adele Marie Koster was born January 19, 1930 to Pauline and Alcide Pecot in New Orleans, Louisiana. She moved to Charenton when she was 5 years old and at the time only spoke French. Adele attended parochial school in Charenton and then attended Franklin High school and had to commute 18 miles daily. She was a very talented artist by the age of 15 for the high school newspaper. Adele graduated high school at the age of 16 in May 1946. She worked for the Franklin Telephone Company for one year until they moved to Houston, Texas in January 1947 where she met her future husband, John Koster. They dated for more than two years before they were married on October 15, 1949. Adele and John had 4 wonderful children together. She was a Pearland resident for 35 years. Adele loved to read and enjoyed gardening very much. Her greatest pleasure was her family. Adele and family were fortunate to have a daughter in- law and grandson, Darlene and John Koster who played vital roles in her caregiving. A visitation rosary for Adele will be held on Thursday, October 24, 2013 from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m., with a Rosary recited at 6 p.m., at Clayton Funeral Home, 5530 W. Broadway, Pearland, Texas 77581. The funeral mass will take place on Friday, October 25, 2013 at 10 a.m., at St. Helen Catholic Church, 2209 Old Alvin Road, Pearland Texas 77581 with Father Jim Courville officiating. Interment will follow at SouthPark Resurrection Cemetery in Pearland, Texas. ===================
