Please go to http://usgwarchives.net/la/stmary/obits/dateobits/2013/sm1310.htm and click on the name of interest. ========== Elmer "Sarge" Moffett, a native of Shreveport and a resident of Morgan City passed away Wednesday, October 30, 2013 at his residence at the age of 75 after a courageous battle with cancer. To cherish his memories, Sarge leaves his wife, Judy Thibodeaux Moffett; his children, Lisa Marie, Deborah May, Natalie Coupel, Bobby Lombas, Mack Lombas, Linda LeBlanc, Millet Wilkinson, Julie Landry, Glenn Deville, and Troy Deville; a sister, Yvonne Morrow and twenty grandchildren. He joins in heaven his parents, Elmer Weston and Vivian A. Moffett; his step mother, Nora Moffett; two brothers, Dewie Lavelle, and Oliver Leon; and four sisters, Lessie Norine Williams, Ethel E., Eula Azzell Bradley, and Margie E. Duncan. The family requests that visitation be observed Friday, November 1, 2013 at the First United Methodist Church in Berwick from 9am until time of services. Services for Sarge will begin, Friday at 2pm at the First United Methodist Church in Berwick with Rev. Steve Porter officiating. Sarge will be laid to rest in the Berwick Cemetery with military honors being rendered. The family would like to express their heartfelt thanks to Journey Hospice, especially Amanda, Claudine and Deacon Brent.
